Never rob a gun shop.

These guys are going to need bail.

Who ever said, “I’m going to rob a gun store today, that seems like a good idea”? I’m going with almost nobody.

Just after 9a.m. Saturday morning (December 6th), two men in hoodies entered C & S Gun and Pawn Shop in Springdale, Arkansas wearing hoodies and carrying a messenger bag.

Browsing the display cases, the two men appeared to be ordinary customers… and then they drew handguns.

“They split up, they both pulled out hand guns that looked like black semi-automatic pistols and began to rob the store,” according to Lt. Derek Hudson with the Springdale Police Department. “One of the employees also pulled out a weapon and there were shots exchanged.”

An elderly employee drew her revolver and immediately opened fire on the suspect in the gray hoodie, now identified as 25-year-old Marcus Gould. One of her rounds struck gold in the forearm, sending he and accomplice Leon Roberson running from the store.

Hours later, Springdale police received a call of a man with a gunshot wound at nearby Sparks Hospital in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Gould had gone for treatment there, giving a false name. As police asked about the injury, Gould’s story unraveled.

During questioning at the hospital it was revealed that the getaway car was parked in the parking lot. After obtaining a warrant to search the car, police approached the vehicle only to find Roberson inside. After a brief footchase, he was taken into custody.

Both guns, the black duffle bag, and a bracelet stolen from the store were recovered from the car.
